Sumners...

at your service.

What our customers say about us:

"We chose to use Rowland Sumner (Kirkham) Ltd on two counts, firstly because we had a personal recommendation. The second reason was obviously based on cost plus back-up servicing offered and you won hands down.

A big consideration for us was the 'after sales' service - the 5 year warranty was a big plus when making our choice.

We are really grateful that you were able to schedule its installation so very close to the deadline... [and] thank you for more than coming up to our expectations by actually coming out to install our new TV on a Saturday! We shall certainly be recommending your services."

Joan Short, Able2Change.

How do I choose between Plasma and LCD?

LCD Vs Plasma...

Size matters when it comes to making a choice. LCD is at its optimum performance up to and including 37", whilst plasma offers optimum performance at 37" and above. Panasonic Viera Plasma TV is currently the UK's No1 best-selling large screen TV. Not sure which one to choose? Maybe this might help you decide:

LCD Vs Plasma
Which is more energy efficient, Plasma or LCD?

The energy consumption of both is actually about the same in normal operating conditions. An LCD screen consumption is constant whereas with Plasma it fluctuates according to the brightness of a scene, for example, when a scene is predominantly dark, a Plasma will use less energy. All in all the energy efficiency evens out for Plasma and LCD.

LCD Vs Plasma
A popular Plasma myth dispelled...

Does Flat Panel TV need re-gasing? No. Plasma gases are inert and sealed within tiny cells that are sandwiched between glass plates. There is never any need to re-charge or refill the Plasma.

LCD Vs Plasma
Which technology has the longer life span - Plasma or LCD?

The life span for both is dependent on viewing habits, but if both are watched for the same duration, one would expect the life span to be approximately the same, 60,000 hours, roughly twice the life span of older CRT technology.

Lower power consumption by increased luminous efficiency

With the NeoPDP panel, Panasonic has radically lowered the energy consumption of their TVs. NeoPDP televisions only need half as much energy as 2007 models to produce the same amount of brightness, doubling their efficiency.

Lower Power Consumption

This has been made possible by expert engineers who have employed an improved luminous gas, larger cells and newly created electronic packaging. The result is an improvement in picture quality and eco-friendliness in equal measure.
